Did you get the name of that naiad last night?
J-Dawg
Are you fucking kidding me? I should punch you in the junk rn. My M O T H E R is livid
Puck
Oh, that explains a few things.
Puck
Uh, can you get someone with fire magic to come and help me de-ice the walls?
But it's probably fine. It's not like you made any really poor life decisions, right? Like drunk-mirroring your fellow Faewild guests?
Oh. Oh no.
Better check your messages, and see what's in your Reflections from the Night Before.
All right, dears, you know the drill. Your characters have found themselves firing off (perhaps) ill-advised texts. Choose from the horrifying archive of text based debauchery or craft your own bespoke messages.
All threads in this post may be considered canon if all parties involved agree. All threads may be counted for Activity Check as well as Rewards.

2. He offered me certain 'favors' for putting together a complicated piece of furniture, is this really an acceptable form of bartering?
3. EVERYONE GET ON THE FLOOR AND DO THE FROGSTOMP!!!!!
4. Molotov cocktail? What molotov cocktail?
5. Penis jello molds seemed like a good idea at the time--
6. And here I'll show you how to make a do-it-yourself flamethrower, all involving things that you can find at home!
7. Dude, I think that the possessed demon teddy bear just licked his maw at me. Chalk me up as terrified.
+text him!

You can consider me all ears.
[ He was nerdy enough that anything he could add to his artificer lookbook as a potential schema would be much appreciated. He would not take credit for it but he did want to write down the recipe for future endeavors. ]
I've made a steampowered toy train before, but I think it could put a nice spin on weaponry.

[Is she a tyrant? Absolutely. She holds no bones about who she thinks should be in charge of things. And it's been that way since she was a small Wednesday.]
I suppose since it's not magically based, it shouldn't be that difficult to find the right types of items to replicate it here. I'll see about making my blueprints again from memory.
no subject
I would be more than happy to do that.
When I get my powers back, I would be more than happy to make you something imbued with magical properties. [ Because Rainier believed in equivalent exchange. ]
no subject
Well, I've already done it without magic once. I'm sure that magic could only make it more interesting.
Are you so sure that your life would be improved with your powers? You have decent enough skills of observation and notation that you probably don't need them.

It'd be like the Nightmare Before Christmas toymaking extravaganza. ]
I think that my powers are sentimental in nature?
My father taught me the craft so it's passed on, I think that I would like to veer away from toys, perhaps work more with steam and weaponry, such as ballistas and rocket launchers.
[ Please teach him about weapons from Wednesday's world, he desires to learn more. ]

I suppose I can understand that. I have very little sentimentality about my powers. They are hereditary, but I can assure you that they've done as much harm as they have good.
Ballistae and rocket launchers are two ends of the same spectrum. How does someone from a world stuck in medieval science know about rocket launchers?

[ He was a nerd and has probably gotten his hands on a few nerdy volumes here and there that most people would find too complex or boring ]
I think that the desire to further and advance civilization is not an uncommon one, just misunderstood.
no subject
[Hey there, Fellow Nerds. Let's talk nerd shit, I guess.]
I disagree. While the advancement of civilization appears noble on the surface, it is usually fueled by darker, baser ambitions in mind, glossed over with shellac to appear noble. Most people just want to be in power in my experience and they don't care who or what they have to stand on to get that power. Especially if it makes other people revere them.
They're mot misunderstood or even misguided. They're delusional about their own true desires.

Cautionary Tales, throughout history we've been given guidebooks with which to cartograph our lives. It's interesting to see the same themes we have seen in books, and correlate them to what appears in history.
Stories are never really stories, are they? But I think that I would like to see how far technology could go in the right hands; yes perhaps it's inviting doom and it's nearly impossible to curate knowledge between those who should and those who shouldn't, but I have seem some amazing things being invented-- such as steam-powered vehicles, which I think around 80 years was not even thought of.
It makes me wish I was elven so I could be around for the next 80 years to see what comes next.

And you're far too naive. I don't really trust anyone with that much power not to abuse it. History tells me that the naive ones get used by the immoral creatures that have no problem hurting others to get their place in the stories.
Although, there have been a great deal of leaps and bounds in technology in my world over the last century. I think I would have been happier being born around the time of my grandparents, to be honest.

[ Leave it to Rainier to get Jack Skellington about it ]

But it's more a vibes, thing, you know? Confidence that you are enough for whatever it is you want to do, for whatever you want to be. And you, particularly, you're worth a hell of a lot. You're brilliant, adorable, surprising little wicked streak hiding underneath the good boy babyface, great hair.
no subject
[ This was something that Rainier had to consider, he had never been interested in relationships or anything like that, his attention was with ideas and possibilities-- ]
I am sporting a bit of scruff now, it makes me look a little less baby face, I think.
no subject
[He does have pretty hair, yes.]
You are. It is a good look on you. Gives you a hint of roguishness. Not, like, Termen-rogue-ish-ness. More the archetypical sort.
no subject
[ The fact that Rainier said such, was only because they were like siblings. ] But archetypical? Now I don't know what to say to that except thank you, I've never really been thought of as cute before.
[ There have been a handful of people that secretly he wanted to be found attractive by but it wasn't something that he could discern or vocalize because he was socially inept and it was a feeling, we all knew how he reacted to feelings. ] Back when I was younger, there was a guy that was also being trained by my father.. perhaps I may have wanted. But he went to Candlekeep and I stayed with my father to help man the shop.
no subject
[Trystan is giving his mirror a skeptical look.]
Are you actually unaware that you're very attractive? Rainy. Come on now.
[Impossible how someone so smart can be so dumb.]
Ooh? Young love? Secret pining? A boyhood crush? What was he like?
no subject
He was brilliant and full of amazing ideas; he was kind but also he was competitive and pushed me to do my best. Eventually he went to do scholars work in Candlekeep and I envied that. He asked me to go with him, but I did not because I knew I still had work to do... and thinks to learn from my father.
no subject
[But aww. Oh. That's entirely sweet right there.]
He sounds like quite the guy. Are you still carrying a torch for him?
no subject
[ He was uncertain because well it has been like four years now and a lot has happened, and he also knows that he's not the same guy which is fine. Impossible to go back, or even ruminate on what is. ] My world is broadening and I'm still learning much about who I am aside from my family.
It's nice to think that maybe I do but that may be memories of the past, and one cannot make a sound hypothesis without much time spent with someone.
no subject
[Like, how does that brain work? He wants to know so bad.]
It's very easy to be in love with a memory. I think it's wise enough to recognize that. Not everyone is quite so self aware.
