Every time I reach into the bag, there seems to be something mysteriously pushed into my hand. I do not know what I am going to do with this plate of spaghetti now-- you cannot eat it, I do not think; and I do not see Briggsy anywhere.

Well, now, I suppose I could try to eat it? It might not be "eating" the way you would rightly call it, but I could at least open up my, uh, my gullet, and drop it on down?

Aww, gee, Ms. Lethica, that was real swell of you to ask, just for little old me! I'll take the orange soda. It's no sarsaparilla, but I'm sure it'll taste great with the plate of spaghetti... Or, in as much as anything I eat tastes like anything.

Please tell Mr. Mysterious Bag Hands that I'm very, truly grateful for this drink. Maybe he ain't too bad to have around! Maybe he's not gonna slip off of your belt and strangle us all in our sleep or nothing, not like what Virgil says!

Well Jericho, I think I did feel a tooth when I stuck my bag in this last time, so I think that voring would be far more likely. Not that would happen, of course.

You pick up quite a few things as you are ambling along, perhaps we should attempt a gift in pacification? We are always finding interesting things and perhaps the bag may appreciate them in a way we cannot?

Then I think that we should pour over the bag together however, please Jericho-- keep close to me while you do so; it will ensure that you shall receive the proper mending.

I would hate to have the bag cough up hayballs later.

Oh, no, I wouldn't dream of trying to get between you and the bag! And besides, even if I did, it'd find its way back to you sooner rather than later, wouldn't it?

We can look it over together, Ms. Lethica, I think that sounds like a fine plan.

Honestly, it feels like the bag is now my best friend, well after Farryn of course. But my concern is always for my friends, and also-- if anything happened to you, who else would sing us such delightful songs?

[ Because Lethica did enjoy the talents and skills that Jericho Stick's brought to the party, they were unique and they managed to bring some levity to such a hope-deficiet world. ]

Indeed it is very good that the bag cannot be gotten rid of, I should perhaps think upon a name for them. Do you have any suggestions Jericho?.

It feels wrong to leave them nameless, especially with the bond of holding that we have between us.

I'll tell him. He'll have some not so very nice words to say about it, but I'll pass that along.

Do you have a sense of the bag person's gender? I know we've said "he" and "them," but I don't wanna make no assumptions.

Could be Bagatha. Or Bagustus. Or Bagdalena, or Bagnes.

[ Good thing that Lethica does not care about the opinion of slimly little crows like Virgil. She's absolutely Team Jericho(tm) and will be buying the t-shirt eventually, she will also make Marius buy one. ]

I think that the Bag does not care overmuch about how they are referred, only about being fed on a regular basis. I default to he or they but I, like you, do not want to make assumptions; there's been no clear preference, only a profuse amount of hand-licking when I stick my hand inside.

I like Bagustus, it has a certain dignified ring to it

I think not making assumptions is the safest bet. How many times do we think a thing is one way, only to find out it's another, in the worst sort of surprise way?

Bagustus it is! We can even call them Gus for short! (If they like that nickname, that is...)

they do say that to assume is to make an 'ass out of you and me' but in all honesty, I think it is largely on the assumers part.

I have just asked Bag if they like it, they licked their maw. [ Only in Druskenvold do bags have maws ] So it appears it is settled, Gus it is.

It is very interesting though I have noticed that I have not been able to contact Farryn, Yogrim nor Briggsy; however you and Marius I have been able to get a hold of, which makes me feel less alone.

It is a little odd that it's just the three of us, isn't it? But, I mean, Mr. Druskenwald had his reasons for gathering the six of us together... Maybe these fae folk have their reasons for only wanting you, Sir Marius, and me?

Virgil says we should destroy them and go back, but I don't know if that's the right idea.

This is why you are a much better person and friend than Virgil.

[ Which Lethica had carefully curated to say because she knew that Jericho's overwhelming need was to be liked, it was sincere because Lethica would not say anything insincere, but she also knew the power of words. ]

Whatever it is, I am sure that we will find home again soon, it is not impossible to imagine that we stepped into some sort of tear in reality that the Witches put in place.

Unless they sent those three someplace else. Though I guess we've got no way of knowing whether they did.

Yet another intriguing mystery though not one that we should focus on; as you said-- speculation will be fruitless.

After all, we do not know how long we will be here. It is best to show a united front of solidarity, and as long as we keep ourselves falling through too many roofs, that should be fine.

Oh, believe me, Ms. Lethica. I'd be much happier keeping my feet on Terra Firma. As long as no fae folk decide to send me spinning up in the air, I think I'll stay down here on the ground, safe from any roof crashes.
