Was the approximate time between Will and I sleeping in the same bed for the first time and then the first kiss. Really, it is dependent upon 1. the couple and 2. the fear of ruining the friendship.

Everything is just so…complicated.

It stops being complicated right when you become honest with yourself and your partner. And then it is the most simple and easiest thing in the world.

The joy far outweighs the fear.

It sounds like it would be. But it’s just taking that step that’s so difficult. I fear I might mess something up somehow.

You will not mess anything up, at least not as bad as you think you will. If he has an idea, then you are already much further ahead in the game then I was.

To be honest, I'm not sure if he actually does. He might, he's quite perceptive, but then I worry that he hasn't said anything about it. He could be waiting for me to say something, or he might not want to hurt my feelings, or...

[ The anxiety is so palpable that it nearly panes off the mirror and hits him square in the face, however the good thing is that Kris does not think any less of Dorian for worrying; he's done his own share of worrying where Will is involved so it's valid. ]

I suppose then it depends on how comfortable you are with the elephant in the room, and how nicely it matches the decor then. Unfortunately those with human hearts are not possessed with the reading of minds, he could be thinking the exact same thing you do and you know it not.

[ Dorian does at least consider that a moment. He's always been good at avoiding talking about things. Or at least deflecting when someone tries to ask him about things he'd rather not talk about. But this...this didn't feel like one of those things he wanted to ignore. ]

And I suppose the only way to know for sure if he is thinking the same is to just...ask him.

[ Because he isn't a mind reader either. He won't know for sure unless one of them says something. ]

It is a mighty big risk but the payoffs are rewarding; you either fall or you fly-- and chances are your fear of the fall is far more intense then the actual reality.

[ And also, he has seen Dorian and Orym at the cafe.. that was not just friend behavior, by a long shot. ]
