TDM #2 - Spring is in the Air~
Spring is In the Air;
Our Second TDM is here and we're ready for some warmer weather!
☙ Arrival ☙
'You find yourself wandering through a forest of strange colors. The last thing you remember is a strange ring of mushrooms in a riot of shades, singing to you in ethereal tones, tempting you and telling you to step in the midst them to discover riches beyond measure. As you do, a bright white light flashes before your eyes. When your sight returns, the forest of bizarre trees and plants looms before and around you.
As you step forward, laughter—deep and menacing and also light and tinkling—follows your footsteps. Yelling, questioning, gets you nowhere. Only a narrow path of stones allows you to avoid the foliage that seems to want to eat you alive. If you step off of the path, you find vines wrap around your legs, dragging you into the dark interior of the forest, until you wake up later, your body covered in strange symbols that will disappear after a few days. For those wise enough to not tempt fate and stay on the path, soft blue lights—fairies of indeterminate sex—appear, and beckon you to follow them down the path through the trees. A few hours of walking brings you to a village of stone and wooden thatched houses that appear as if they're both brand new and ancient at the same time.
A creature that at once appears to be monstrously beautiful and hideously decrepit steps forward to greet you, holding out a small silver hand mirror with a smile that makes your blood run cold (if you have any sense). "Welcome to the Fae Wild, child. This is the domain of the Handmaiden of the Sidhe Queens. Come with me. The others are waiting. All will be explained once we are gathered." It is then that you see the others spoken of, people that look almost.... normal and just as confused and angry as you are.
Dare you step forward to learn your fate?'
So, you’ve survived the trip down the path and made it to the village that is the heart of the Fae Wild. The Handmaiden and her helpers, mostly pixies, brownies and some sylph and dryads, are handing out silver hand mirrors to all of the newcomers. Once you’re all gathered, the Handmaiden will explain that you’ve been brought here with the promise of riches and treasure through the magical fairy rings. While you’re here, you will be expected to assist the fae creatures in the activities the Handmaiden has picked for you to do.
If you agree to it, you will be richly rewarded. If you refuse? Well, how much do you enjoy the thought of being put under a cloche jar for a while? Don’t worry. You’ll be able to breathe in there. It wouldn’t be good to have someone die on their first day after all. After securing your agreement, your mirror will flash five times, and tapping the surface shows a letter-type of message in flowing script, telling you how to reach your new cottage during your stay.
Questions to the fae may or may not be answered, but never fear. They want you alive. For now.
☙ Clever Clovers ☙
With the warming of the weather, more small fae seem to be spilling into the Fae Wild all clad in green. Against the starkness of the snow of winter and the darkness of the long nights, the sight is a welcomed one by the regular denizens of the village. While these new fae travel around, they’re followed by trails of light that disperse in many directions. As the motes hit the ground, they burst into showers of sparkles that leave behind bright sparks of greenery that would make a fully stocked conservatory blush in envy.
For those that know, the closer you get to the new plants, the better you can tell that you’re staring at Trifolium, or better known as clovers. No flowers have bloomed yet, but the unmistakable clusters of three leaves gathered around a central stem are there in all their simple beauty.
The new fae—leprechauns from the Summer Court, of course—are happy to tell you that they will reward you if you can find their special shamrock among all the new plants. For those of you who pick the standard three-leaved clovers, you’ll be given recipes for teas and dishes that they can be used in, with the promise that any food products consumed of these varieties will shake off the last of the Winter’s blues that are sticking around stubbornly. If you are lucky enough to find a four-leaved clover, a real and true shamrock, the leprechauns will happily reward you with one wish (within reason, of course). And, those of you who find a five-leafed clover….
Well, you like having green skin for the next week, right?

☙ Rampant Blooms ☙
Spring arrives with the first few brave buds of crocuses and daffodils pushing their way up through the still snow-scattered ground. These blossoms are only the vanguard of what is to come, and soon the Fae Wild is awash in flowers, bright and colorful and full of the promise of warmer weather and brighter days.
And also full of magic. Because it’s the Faewild.
Each species of flower seems to have its own flavor of enchantment. Breathing in the scent of the flowers or even a casual brush against their petals will be enough for the spell to take hold.
Luckily for everyone the effects will pass in a few hours’ time as long as you get away from the flowers. Unluckily for everyone, you don’t build up a resistance to the effects, so second and third exposures will have the same effect as the first. Also, multiple flowers can affect someone at the same time. Hopefully you aren’t gifted an unfortunate bouquet.
And also full of magic. Because it’s the Faewild.

Daffodils will inspire uncontrollable joy. Even the most dour and curmudgeonly sort will find themselves all smiles and laughter, unable to contain the happiness, Hey, there are worse things, right?
Soft blue forget-me-nots on the other hand, are the source of sorrow and tears. They will dredge up the saddest moments and memories in your life and leave you a weepy, sniffly mess. Cry it out, babes. Maybe it’ll be cathartic?
Trumpet shaped petunias will leave you in a rage. Even if you’re not the type to ever lose your temper, you’ll find yourself lashing out. Verbally, physically, who knows. Could get dicey.
Hyacinths summon jealousy and envy strong enough to overwhelm your better senses, even if there’s no rational basis for it.
Regal irises stir terror inside those they afflict. Everything is suddenly frightening, even for the bravest warriors.
Red, pink, white, and lavender roses will have you absolutely bursting with love. Romantic love? Platonic love? Could be either, but wow are you just so full of love. Better share it. Hugs? Confessions? Crying over how lucky you are to know the object of your affection? Yeah, all that.
Orchids on the other hand, well, those are less love and much more lust. Orchids act as an aphrodisiac. Hopefully you at least wait until you’re behind closed doors? Or else the Fae are likely to get a free show.

☙ Kelpies, Kelpies, All Around! ☙
The Fae in the village are hurried around this time of year, openly talking of Kelpie mating season. There are open warnings to stay away from any body of water, whether it be the lake or the various streams in the forest.
The villagers mostly tell you to beware. They've lost too many to the mating season.
Upon asking any of the village denizens, they'll tell you the tale of the kelpie, a beautiful and powerful black horse that preys on anyone it encounters. They seek companionship, in either form. In its equine form, the kelpie is able to extend the length of its back to carry many riders into the depths. In human form, they lure their victims into the water to devour them, then throw the entrails to the water's edge.
The kelpies are solitary creatures, able to transform into human figures. The only distinction is that they usually have water weeds in their hair. Traditionally, Kelpies keep to a male form, but are known to revert to a female one as well. A telltale sign a horse is a kelpie is that their hooves are backwards.
The villagers tell you that it's your job to keep them away from the village so everyone stays safe. It's an honor to be chosen for this because of how dangerous it is. There are several ways to do this - you can try to outright kill them. They have a weakness to silver and iron, the villagers say. The second way is to gain control of the kelpie's bridle while in equine form. It's a risky maneuver, but on rare occasions you can instruct it to go back to where it came from. Or put it to work.

☙ Mirror Network ☙
The mirror plays its cheerful and difficult to ignore chime, flashing to let you know that you’ve received a message. Everyone has. And it’s not going to stop until you give it a look.
When you do, the face in the mirror belongs to a woman, eerily beautiful in the way the fae seem so talented at. Her hair is dark, skin fair but looking faintly sun kissed, cheeks flushed and full of life. Her eyes seem to shift, blue to green to gray to darker, to an impossible violet and pink and green and back again. This is the face of the Summer Queen, greeting her Handmaiden’s guests as Spring has finally arrived.
“Winter is ending, and all the secrets hidden by the snow are starting to be known. Tell me a secret, my dear? Share with me something you keep in your deepest heart?”
Her voice is gentle and musical, lulling, as if you can trust everything and anything she says. Of course you can. And why would you possibly refuse her request? Unless you muster up an impressive amount of willpower to resist the magical charm being cast upon you, you will find yourself compelled to reply, to share some unspoken secret with the woman in the mirror.
Sadly, your reply will be broadcast to the entire mirror network and shared with everyone. Oops. But hey, what better way to make new friends than a speed run to vulnerability and intimacy? Happy Spring!

Snow Villiers | Final Fantasy 13 Trilogy | Current Player
[After the Handmaiden leaves, Snow takes a look at the people around and checks them for any signs of problems. He walks over to the nearest person, hands up to show that he doesn't mean any harm.]
Hey, you okay? [He probably looks pretty intimidating, but he's trying to be less of a standoffish jerk, so there's that.] Do you need someone to give you the run down of how this place works? Did you go into the forest by the path?
Clovers, Clovers, Everywhere
[Well, these little green fae seem to be less annoying than the ones running around with the branches a bit ago or the faery monkeys at the hot springs. While he wouldn't say that he knows anything about plants besides flowers are great gifts for Serah and plant monsters are vulnerable to fire magic, he can search in the new greenery for a few flower leaves.
He picks a few of them and holds them out to the person next to him.]
Alright, what's the difference between a shamrock and all of these? I... I can't tell, to be honest.
[Please take pity on this giant, pathetic man.]
Bloooooooms~
[So, there are so many flowers and he wants to pick some for Serah. It's been a while since he's been able to surprise him and things have been a little quiet since they both arrived but nothing has been said.
As such, it's kind of hard to miss the tall guy in all black in the middle of a field of white and yellow daffodils, bent over and the sound of almost hysterical laughter shaking his frame.]
I... h-haha... was just... hehe... looking for some flower. HAHAHAHAHA!
Mirror Message UN: S.Villiers
[Snow wastes no time trying to respond to the woman asking such personal questions.]
You really think we're going to tell you anything about us after you brought us here and stripped most of us from any sort of powers and weapons we might have? This place is a death trap. You might as well have tossed us to the monsters and pulled out some popcorn!

[OOC: Do you want to do something else? Please reach out to me via PM or on Plurk at

[Willow drawls out the words in earnest encouragement.]
Though death, in my experience, seems a bit temporary here.
[The first thing Will did when he arrived here was throw himself headlong off the path and had a small incident with dying. But he got better.]
Which is unsettling, honestly. The whole place is unsettling. But I've got a bit of history with the fae... [Well. He thinks that anyway. HE HAS NO IDEA OF THE ACTUAL TRUTH YET.]

Wednesday Addams | Netflix's Wednesday | Current Player
[It's almost tragic that this creature that looks like a living black and white photo is stuck in the middle of a sunny patch of blue and purple flowers. She looks so out of place, with her pigtails and pale skin with the bursts of colors around her.
If you look closely, you can see that a rash is starting to develop on her skin and she's collapsed to the ground, her head hanging forward as her splotchy hands cover her face. After a few moments, the sound of sniffling and sobs can be heard.]
Oh, Nero. I miss you.
[The scorpion isn't the only thing she misses, but for some reason her mind is stuck on the last day she cried and now she can't stop sobbing like Pugsley when he's being put in the electric chair at home.]
Kelpies
[She's heard of the creatures, but there were no kelpies at Nevermore, so she's really rather curious about how they behave and what they'll do to the people who have been kidnapped to this color hell. The closest they got were the sirens and merpeople, but that can't beat out "water horse people", honestly.
As a tale, pale man with dark hair and eyes raises from the Lake, Wednesday watches with a blank expression. She sees the dripping weeds that tell her what he is. Also, she is used to the dark, smoldering features, considering her friendship with Xavier Thorpe and none of the sirens at Nevermore could get their Song to work on her. What she does notice is that there's someone else nearby spying along with her, trying to ruin her scientific research.]
Can I help you?
[Of course she's not looking at the interloper, but that doesn't mean she's not watching. Both the kelpie and the person who has joined her.]

Also he had a run-in with the forget-me-nots earlier too. So he has some idea what this might be.

Orym of the Air Ashari | Critical Role | Current Player
Orym loved flowers. He'd grown up in a community that honored nature and flowers had in a small become his love language. So the blooming flowers catch his attention and he can be found wandering and exploring among them. When he passes the orchids he picks a few and starts making a crown out of them with deft fingers. As he works he begins to feel warmer and warmer as his mind wanders to a certain air genasi.
Certain parts of him start reminding him how long it had been since he'd indulged in carnal activities and after looking around to see if he was alone he moans softly and settles in the grass to make himself more comfortable. What would one moment of joy hurt?
Mirror Secrets
Orym tries to resist the urge to say anything. He has one huge secret he's been keeping since he arrived...but the urge rises and without really thinking says.
"I'm in love with Dorian Storm and I haven't told him because I'm afraid I'm not good enough for him."
Kelpies, Kelpies, Kelpies
Orym loved a challenge and so was happy to hunt down a bridle and wander over to the shore. He found a hidden spot and remained there for hours watching the creatures carefully and quietly. Even the most magical creatures have something that can let the bravest heroes make their move. He just needs to be patient and wait.
Mirrors!
So this is a very interesting little confession. He'd managed to resist the Summer Queen's little trick himself, so he's quite certain that Orym didn't necessarily mean to announce this publicly, but he's also nowhere near strong enough to resist sticking his nose into other people's business when given such a clear opportunity.
"Interesting reason. But... have you considered that perhaps the one who should make that determination is him?"

Tryst Cleary | Original | Current Character
[The still-powerless wizard sees no reason not to at least play along with the games that the Fae have set out for them. If nothing else, it's better than languishing in boredom.
So sure, picking clovers seems as good a way to pass the time as anything.]
I don't think I've gone searching for four-leaf clovers since I was a child. Having any luck on your end?
[No reason not to make new friends in the process.]
[ Blooms ]
Forget-Me-Nots
[Trystan isn't exactly the show actual emotions in public type. Oh he'll sulk and squawk about things for the sake of a bit of drama, but actual emotions that he's actually feeling in some meaningful, personal way? No, no that's not something he does.
Except here he is, currently sitting with a handful of small blue blossoms with tears streaming down his face, feeling like a lost ten year old child again, as the small little bouquet in his hands reminded him of the flowers they'd lain on his mother's grave, reminded him of how everything had changed, and even now, how much he misses having a home. How long it's been since he's seen his sisters, his father.
He startles if anyone comes close, looking up, face tear-streaked, eyes red.] Ah.. sorry. You've caught me at a strange time I... [A sad little sob.] I miss my family.
Orchids
[After the forget-me-not incident, Tryst does the math and realizes there's magic afoot. One would think that would keep him away from the blossoms, but nope. He's a wizard, and poking his nose into magic shenanigans is basically one of his defining features. After spending a good hour or two giggling madly over a bunch of daffodils (a good time) he's moved on to the orchids.
He's pluck several and is inhaling the subtle perfume and then... waiting.]
Mm... nothing?
[Except. Oh. OH.] ...these could be good for business. [With all proper informed consent of course, but still. He's just going to collect more of these. What could go wrong?
The half-elf is a flirt at the best of times, so anyone wandering with in his sight will receive a half-purred.] Hello there... come here often?
[ Kelpies ]
[In one corner: one half-elf wizard with no magic, no weapons, and no physical strength to speak of. In the other, a watery black horse looking at said wizard like he's a snack waiting on a silver platter.]
All right... easy now. We're just going to take a nice stroll back to the water. Apparently you're not welcome in the village currently. Something about eating people? It's a reasonable request, really. I--
Shit. Fuck. Shit.
[The kelpie charges and Tryst scrambles out of its way. He's definitely going to wind up eaten.]

Andreas of Eraklyon | Fate : The Winx Saga
What he wasn't expecting was the sudden crash behind him and a set of hooves aimed at his head. He scrambles to his feet just in time to be only grazed. The kelpie snaps its teeth at him. Andreas does look crazy enough that he might try and punch it in the face. He sometimes doesn't think things through. Though the circling of each other and more rearing and snapping from the kelpie ends somehow with Andreas's arm tangled in what he realises are reins not just that mane. He also notices that his arm is injured but holding the reins are more important.
He didn't know what to do next. He wasn't going to kill it, he didn't have his sword anyway. He pulled the reins tight and that earned him another snap from those teeth. Far too close. But he wasn't letting go. He'd taken down things just as nasty if not worse.
He makes a noise, then starts walking back to the village. Dragging the kelpie along with him. Could at least be useful for a while and pull a cart or something.
[Clever Clovers]
He thinks Ben would love this, any earth fairy would, all the plants and new growth appearing. Ben would be able to identify and then tell him about it. Useful many times but not what he wanted to listen to, he saw the clover and decided to pick one.

Dorian Storm | Critical Role | Current Player
[ Dorian isn't entirely certain how he gets roped into hunting for clovers, asides from the strange fae dressed in green catching him and requesting (ie, bullying) him into helping. Even as they explain, he isn't entirely sure what they're looking for as he sifts through a patch of the green plants that all look the same to him. ]
So we're supposed to be looking for one that's...special, right?
B. Rampant Blooms
[ Dorian doesn't really know much about flowers personally. He can appreciate their beauty, and he knows that some can be more expensive than others based on their meaning and how people view them as a symbol. But he didn't know much about the different meanings of flowers, how much they can represent.
All he knows is that they looked nice, and that people give flowers to those they care for. And he happens to know someone who happens to like flowers.
So now it's just a matter of picking which ones he thinks his friend might like. This is where his inexperience becomes a problem, though; if they have meaning, then he doesn't want to choose a flower that would give the wrong one.
So mostly he just stands there a moment, trying to figure out which flowers would be best to give. ]
C. Mirror Network
[ Normally Dorian doesn't really like talking about himself. And there are certainly plenty of secrets that he keeps closely guarded. But the woman on the network has worked her magic on him, and he can't help responding with one that's been especially on the forefront of his mind as of late. ]
I'm in love with my best friend, Orym...but I'm worried that I can never measure up to his late husband.
D. Wildcard

Mirror Network
Tryst is ready to just sigh wistfully and start the meddling. But then there's that little extra bit of information at the end. Late husband. Ah. Well, that would explain why he said he was out of practice. Six years.
Well, now the wizard is even more invested.]
Funny thing about love, it's not really a measuring contest. ...I mean unless that's what you're into. I never judge.
[One of his worst qualities is that he thinks he's funny.]
More seriously, I've seen what losing love can do to someone. If there's a possibility for love again, for healing, that's the sort of miracle you have to take a chance on.

yrefel of the red barren | original | new player
There is... so much green.
Once Yrefel makes her way along the path and into the village, she stands dumbstruck at its outer edge, head tipped upward as she takes the sight in: the little wooden buildings densely clustered together, green growing everywhere there's a spare inch to cram it in, fae of all kinds and shapes walking on winding paths. She has felt out of place among her people for such a long time, and here, she feels even more foreign.
She tugs the hood of her cloak a little lower, though it does little to conceal the bumps of her horns or the black bandages wound over her eyes. Her dark attire, suited for the desert, only makes her stick out further. For the first time in a long time, she feels lost. Unsure of her purpose. If she is no longer at home in the Red Barren, what is she? How long will it take her to get back? Can she get back at all?
Shield-Mother, her lips form a silent, fervent prayer, Mother of Star and Sand, guide my hand and show me my path.
She recieves no response. All that happens is that someone approaches, and stops, and Yrefel's statue-like demeanor in the middle of the path is clearly blocking their way.
"My apologies," she murmurs, head ducked. Yrefel moves aside, but asks, "May I ask you a question? Where is this? Is this truly the Fae Wild as I was told, or was I being decieved?"
It's taken Yrefel a while to start exploring this new place. At home, she had only ever lived in one city, and though she had spent considerable time in the red sands and mountains close by, never had she visited another port of civilization.
She's having some culture shock, needless to say.
Loathe to get too close to people, Yrefel has stuck mainly to the lesser populated areas of the town. A tavern that she found was far too crowded. The shops, too, seem to be packed. Eventually she had settled on a small side-street corner, crouched against the wall as she observes the comings and goings of the town and its people. They all seem to be relishing the spring blooms, and Yrefel thinks nothing of being a little too close to some red roses. Where she comes from, flowers don't sponatenously cause magical effects.
So when she finds herself speaking to the next stranger that passes, Yrefel is baffled and appalled at herself, and yet, she cannot stop.
"I have never seen so much green," she breathes. She... thinks she might love it. "Such a color is a rarity where I am from, found only in hard, low-lying brush and imported plants. I never imagined a place could look like this. Does it always look like this?"
When the locals had told Yrefel that it was her job to keep the kelpies away from the village, Yrefel had thanked them.
Finally. After half a day of feeling so lost, she has purpose once more.
Here, she stands at the edge of the lake's water, gloved hands tucked into her cloak, still and serene. She has kept watch like this for decades, and she finds it soothing. Meditative, almost. Yrefel has none of her weapons, and all of the souls inside of her feel constrained, her magic leashed alongside them. That means the fight will be more difficult, but she has faith.
She says nothing to the person that joins her watch, but eventually extends a hand to point. "There. Ripples in the water approach us."
Yrefel tilts her head, listening. "I will attempt to gain control of the kelpie's bridle. I am not used to fighting with others, but if you have a way to distract it, that would be to our advantage."
I refuse. What secrets rot in my heart are for me and me alone. I sometimes wish I was allowed a friend, or someone to treasure, but--
[ Whoops. Looks like some of the compulsion got to her. Yrefel's lips thin, eyebrows creasing above her blindfold. ]
You heard nothing.
Blooms
But, since he's spent so long as the Patron of a large, busy city, he's used to people coming up to him (when he allowed it). When the other woman approaches, he raises an eyebrow and smiles despite himself. "Yeah, it's always very colorful here. The Fae like it. Even in the middle of snow and cold, they've made sure that there were things that could catch the eye and keep us from getting too lost in the forests."

Noctis Lucis Caelum | Final Fantasy XV | New Player
Finding himself in places like this isn't really a new for Noctis, per se. Such things have been happening since his dad gave him the carbuncle totem when he was a kid, but usually he's dreaming when it happens. It's entirely possible that's what's going on here as well, but the little guy is nowhere to be found.
Upon hearing the laughter, he does attempt to call out, "Hello?! Hey! Mind telling me where I am?" When no answer comes, he scoffs, shoves his hands in his pockets, and continues on; commenting dryly, "Real helpful."
Eventually he does get some 'help,' whether it's good or bad, he's not alltogether sure. All Noctis knows is he's really tired, sick of walking, and freaking starving! Hungry enough that he might even consider veggies!
Where's Iggy when you need him?
Wait, scratch that, Ignis might just hold him to it.
Finally, after what seems like forever, the blue whatevers- maybe messengers?- lead him to a village and he's greeted by the beautiful-ugly creature.
"A daemon!?" Is his first thought, but when he goes to summon a weapon, nothing happens.
"Shit!"
To his dismay, the thing just stands there smiling and holding a mirror, Noctis approaches cautiously, takes the trinket and is guided to join the others.
"Is this some kind of joke?" He asks, a little annoyed, but to no one in particular.
ℜ𝔞𝔪𝔭𝔞𝔫𝔱 𝔅𝔩𝔬𝔬𝔪𝔰𓂅
Flowers are somewhat significant to him, but seeing them now only gives him a stabbing feeling in the chest most likely triggered by recent events.
No matter where he goes, he can't escape the blossoms. They seem to be everywhere, like a constant reminder of his failure to protect her. But not all of them seem to bring those thoughts to the surface.
I. Daffodills: Then why is he so happy all of a sudden? He's literally skipping from place to place, smiling like an idiot and chatting with anyone and everyone. Is this how Prompto feels? It's not too bad! He should go make tons of friends, and have lots of fun; just like Prompto!
II. Forget-Me-Nots: And this is exactly why he wanted to avoid the flowers. He can't stop ruminating on what he could have done differently after fighting the Hydrian. Why was he so weak? He couldn't help Luna, and Iggy had to pick up his slack, both of them 'necessary sacrifices.' Suddenly the ring in his pocket feels as though it's made of lead and he falls to his knees, shaking his head as tears prick the corners of his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Dad. I'm so sorry. I failed you. I failed everyone..."
III. Petunias: He was angry already. Angry that everyone expects him to just pick up and move on after all that! The flowers only made him more mad.
"All because of this!"
He pulls the Ring of the Lucii from his pocket and looks as though he were debating throwing it away, but ends up with it clenched in his fist instead; tight enough to leave marks.
His cobalt gaze sweeps the area and meets yours. You swear there's some red in there as well. Without warning, Noctis stomps up to you, grabs you by the shirt, and gets right up in your face.
"What the hell are you looking at?"
IV. Roses: Roses in colors he didn't even know existed, bloom in the thorny bushes of another area of the village. They're pretty enough that he decides to circle around to view them up close. The smell is amazing, and as he spots someone else examining them, he suddenly wants to share these beautiful blossoms with them. In fact, he wants to share a lot with them; hugs, kisses, maybe even marriage!
You've had dreams of Prince Charming before, right? How about Prince Noctis? Let him sweep you off your feet!
V. Orchids: What could go wrong with orchids? They're a pretty simple flower. Nothing to worry about. He's chill.
Except he's not, as he starts to feel a little too warm. He pulls at the collar of his shirt, until finally deciding to say 'fuck it,' and removes the damn thing.
That's when he sees you there, also among the orchids, and flashes you a flirtatious smile. After closing the distance between you, he puts a hand on his hip and looks you up and down.
"Hey, I'm Noctis, but you can call me Noct. Do you like sleeping? Me too. We should do it together some time."
Noctis, that was bad and you should feel bad!𝔎𝔢𝔩𝔭𝔦𝔢𝔰, 𝔎𝔢𝔩𝔭𝔦𝔢𝔰, 𝔄𝔩𝔩 𝔄𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔡𓂅
This place is so boring. What he wouldn't give for a fishing pole. Not to mention there's something about a kelpie mating season and to stay away from the water? So much for that idea. He can't even sleep because that damn mirror keeps going off with its annoying chime. It's worse than Ignis' alarm!
Now they want us to take out the kelpies? Make up your minds, jeez! At least it's something to do. Wouldn't be the first time he had to do someone else's dirty work. Maybe he can get a fishing pole and some lures out of the deal?
Noctis manages to get ahold of a weapon and heads out to the seashore.
"Seaside Supermodels, heh" he muses aloud with a soft chuckle and shoulders the sword he procured. "How long until these things show anyway?"
𝔐𝔦𝔯𝔯𝔬𝔯 𝔑𝔢𝔱𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔨𓂅
The mirror sounds sometime around 3am, from across and Noctis rolls onto his side in an attempt to continue sleeping. It chimes again, and he tries to block it out with his pillow.
"Seriously?!" He groans crankily.
After a third chime, he finally gives in, with a lot of grumbling. He chucks the pillow at the damn thing, groggily slides out of bed and pads over to the mirror. Upon picking it up, he stares into it grumpily.
Video; un: kingofkings
"You couldn't have waited until after noon or something?"
He sighs, annoyed and obliges, casually and of course with some snark, rambles off his 'secret,'
"'I'm the Chosen King destined to purge the star of darkness,' blah, blah, blah. You happy now? Can I go back to sleep?"
Noctis doesn't wait for an answer as he immediately returns the mirror face down right where it was, and starts to drag himself back to bed.
It was nice while it lasted.

Orchids
"No, I prefer to sleep alone. And I also prefer my orchids to be deadly. These all appear to be... not that."
Words are failing her and she is getting very uncomfortable as this man, Noctis, continues to look at her like she is a piece of meat. She's still not sure she likes it.

Kathreftis | Shadowrun TTRPG OC | Prospective Player
It's not entirely a surprise that they have wound up back in the world of the fae again. If anything, perhaps it might be considered a surprise that it took this long, and that it was not the Hunt that brought them back. The only real question is how long the Courts will keep them this time. Despite the appearance of the Handmaiden, no Lord or Lady appears to have collected their token, which theoretically means that they remain... their own keeper? It would have been almost a relief to be back under another's command. But as they are not, Kathreftis sets out to explore the confines of their latest surroundings.
"These cottages... It would be interesting to see what others know of them," they muse aloud.
It's not exactly a question, nor does it seem to be aimed at anyone specifically, but whomever happens to be nearest will find themselves being watched expectantly nevertheless.
B. Crimson and Clovers
Amidst the newly burgeoning flora steps a person clad in flowing garments of black and red, frowning slightly as they study the clover patches. "There are many clover, here, but they all seem the same to my eyes. Whatever makes one special is not easily spotted. Perhaps it is an entertainment for our hosts more than ourselves."
C. Flowers
Kathreftis had learned the hard way not to touch things without explicit permission a long, long time ago, not to mention how to be wary about fae flora, but judging by the way some of the others here are reacting, they had not yet learned that lesson. "Easy," they say, gently, offering open hands palm up to the afflicted person. "Set down the blossoms. Come, we'll get you something to drink and a nice place to sit for a little while, yes?"
D. Mirrors
Now this... this cannot be avoided. You simply don't try to resist a Queen. That way lies peril the likes of which few mortals can imagine. They bow their head before the glass and consider their options. There are so many secrets - perhaps that's the problem. Hm. "I fear what will happen when I can not hold on to any more information and I become useless to others," they finally murmur.

When they speak, he steps forward and shakes his head. "Everything we do entertains them, I think, but the ones they're really looking for are the ones with the four leaves. A2 | NieR: Automata | New Player
A2 sat up feeling rather disoriented. She felt a strange sensation in her chest as she looked down at her hands. The first thing she noticed was she had nails again, when she knew she no longer had them. “What is going on?” She whispered to herself as she started to stand up. She looked around at the environment. It wasn’t even remotely familiar to her. She didn’t hear any machines in the distance and when she reached behind her, she couldn’t feel her weapon. “What the fuck?!” Her body felt weird as she pushed the long white hair behind her ear and decided to follow the path, not sure where it was going.
The android was on her guard in an unfamiliar area. After a bit of a walk, she felt a strange feeling in her stomach as it growled, and she was thirsty. Normally she didn’t need to eat or drink unless she wanted to, but this… this was an unpleasant sensation. Her blue eyes scanned the village she was coming up to, not wanting to be taken by surprise by an enemy. But all her instincts couldn’t protect her from the startling surprise when she had strange creatures coming to her, one handing her a hand mirror. “What is this for?” She asked, incredibly uncomfortable with the whole situation.
“So, I’m supposed to help these things when I don’t even know where the hell I am or what is wrong with me?! And no weapon?” She said, not too happy with the whole situation. She reluctantly agreed though, not sure what she was getting herself into. When she looked down at the mirror after agreeing, though she felt more coerced than anything she blinked when it showed her a path to her own cottage? She was used to staying in the forest ruins on the rare occasions that she did sleep, so the idea of an actual place to stay shocked her. “Okay…” Then her stomach growled again, causing her to wrap her arms around it. “What is wrong?” She asked no one in particular.
Rampant Blooms
A2 was looking around enjoying the beauty around her. Seeing so much life was something she didn’t think was possible. She still wasn’t used to the day and night cycle, since her own world long ago became tidal locked so she had only seen day. Flowers were few and far between as was fauna, and there wasn’t a huge variety of those. When she stumbled into the field of flowers her blue eyes widened, taking it all in. She loved flowers, but none of these were familiar to her. She was used to Lunar Tears and Desert Roses. Not this vast variety, and the smell from them was beautiful.
a. Daffodils
She made her way along the beds when she saw the yellow blooms. She couldn’t help the large smile that crossed her features as she lay down in the blossoms. She picked a few and held them to her nose, giggling as she hugged them to her chest. She hadn’t felt this hopeful, this happy for a very long time. If one were to ask her she would have told them that she had no idea she could ever feel this light again. She looked up at the sky, her long white hair splayed under her, the blue eyes sparkling. She kept the flowers on her chest as she reached her hands up towards the sky, as if she wanted to catch the clouds.
b. Forget-me-Nots
The delicate blue flowers drew her towards them, so delicate and lovely. She bent down and picked a small bunch, putting it behind her ear. She felt a weight coming onto her shoulders that brought her to her knees amongst the blooms, hugging herself as she felt tears well up in her eyes. She felt the pain and loneliness threatening to drag her under. Hanging her head, she started to cry, the tears pouring down her cheeks as she tried to keep quiet. “Why?” She choked starting to rock herself, attempting to self soothe and calm herself down.
c. Orchids
The android was still trying to get used to the transformation that her body had gone under since she had arrived in this strange place. Where the rubberized carbon fiber had been exposed had turned into a black birthmark over her entire body, and it still seemed foreign to her. Walking through the fields she noticed a flower that she’d not seen before and it drew her in. “So lovely.” She said to herself as she approached. She reached down to caress the blooms when she started to feel a strange warmth starting to affect her body. A2 wasn’t used to not being able to self regulate her temperature in the world, but this was different. It moved through her in a way she couldn’t describe. Even causing her breath to quicken. “This… this isn’t right…” She started looking around for anyone that could help explain what was happening.

Arrival (It was a hard choice, but I thought of something cute)
And now that the fae was heading out, it's just the two of them. So of course he wonders if she's talking to him, even cracking an eye at her bewildered tone of voice.
"Huh? Do I look like something's up?" He replies, shoving off the wall and crossing over to her.
She's not exactly wrong. He was brooding, and trying to come up with ways to get the creatures inhabiting this world to give him back the Ring of the Lucii, that they stole. Too many people had given up too much to make sure it ended up in Noctis' hands. He isn't about to let these- whatever they are- have Luna and Ignis' sacrifices be made in vain.
But he also thought he was better at masking his emotions, which is technically a delusion in its own right, since Noctis very much wears his heart on his sleeve.
Blinking his own crystal blue eyes, he studies her, tilting his head a little and puts a hand on his hip. The woman's arms wrapped around her stomach doesn't escape his notice and he nods, using his chin to gesture at her middle.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

Vex'ahlia | Critical Role | New Character, Current Player
Vex has been to the Feywild before. Colorful to the point of nauseousness was the last time.
She hasn't strayed off the path - she knows what sort of creatures that lurk around the corner, and she won't let herself be deterred my anything lurking on this side of the Feywild. She doesn't trust this place, for a lot of good reasons.
Honestly, she's expecting Artagan to jump out of nowhere saying that he's pranking her.
The silver hand mirror is inspected and appraised by her well-trained eyes. It's a good quality, a nice weight, and something that could fetch a good price should she need to - oh. It's a communication device - her nose wrinkled. There went that plan.
She sighed, looking around. She really hoped she wasn't alone in this.

How did she get dragged into this?
It was the promise of gold, shhh. She's on her hands and knees in the field of clovers, running her hands over the small leaves. She knows she has the best eyesight around here, so she knows she can find one of these shamrocks. The problem was, however, as she sat back on her legs, hands going to her his as her eyes narrowed at the sea of green around her - that everything just blended together and this was going to be like finding a needle in a haystack.
She knows others are looking behind her, so she tosses her braid over her shoulder, looking backward over her shoulder. "Any luck, darling?"
