A2 sat up feeling rather disoriented. She felt a strange sensation in her chest as she looked down at her hands. The first thing she noticed was she had nails again, when she knew she no longer had them. “What is going on?” She whispered to herself as she started to stand up. She looked around at the environment. It wasn’t even remotely familiar to her. She didn’t hear any machines in the distance and when she reached behind her, she couldn’t feel her weapon. “What the fuck?!” Her body felt weird as she pushed the long white hair behind her ear and decided to follow the path, not sure where it was going.
The android was on her guard in an unfamiliar area. After a bit of a walk, she felt a strange feeling in her stomach as it growled, and she was thirsty. Normally she didn’t need to eat or drink unless she wanted to, but this… this was an unpleasant sensation. Her blue eyes scanned the village she was coming up to, not wanting to be taken by surprise by an enemy. But all her instincts couldn’t protect her from the startling surprise when she had strange creatures coming to her, one handing her a hand mirror. “What is this for?” She asked, incredibly uncomfortable with the whole situation.
“So, I’m supposed to help these things when I don’t even know where the hell I am or what is wrong with me?! And no weapon?” She said, not too happy with the whole situation. She reluctantly agreed though, not sure what she was getting herself into. When she looked down at the mirror after agreeing, though she felt more coerced than anything she blinked when it showed her a path to her own cottage? She was used to staying in the forest ruins on the rare occasions that she did sleep, so the idea of an actual place to stay shocked her. “Okay…” Then her stomach growled again, causing her to wrap her arms around it. “What is wrong?” She asked no one in particular.
Rampant Blooms
A2 was looking around enjoying the beauty around her. Seeing so much life was something she didn’t think was possible. She still wasn’t used to the day and night cycle, since her own world long ago became tidal locked so she had only seen day. Flowers were few and far between as was fauna, and there wasn’t a huge variety of those. When she stumbled into the field of flowers her blue eyes widened, taking it all in. She loved flowers, but none of these were familiar to her. She was used to Lunar Tears and Desert Roses. Not this vast variety, and the smell from them was beautiful.
a. Daffodils She made her way along the beds when she saw the yellow blooms. She couldn’t help the large smile that crossed her features as she lay down in the blossoms. She picked a few and held them to her nose, giggling as she hugged them to her chest. She hadn’t felt this hopeful, this happy for a very long time. If one were to ask her she would have told them that she had no idea she could ever feel this light again. She looked up at the sky, her long white hair splayed under her, the blue eyes sparkling. She kept the flowers on her chest as she reached her hands up towards the sky, as if she wanted to catch the clouds.
b. Forget-me-Nots The delicate blue flowers drew her towards them, so delicate and lovely. She bent down and picked a small bunch, putting it behind her ear. She felt a weight coming onto her shoulders that brought her to her knees amongst the blooms, hugging herself as she felt tears well up in her eyes. She felt the pain and loneliness threatening to drag her under. Hanging her head, she started to cry, the tears pouring down her cheeks as she tried to keep quiet. “Why?” She choked starting to rock herself, attempting to self soothe and calm herself down.
c. Orchids The android was still trying to get used to the transformation that her body had gone under since she had arrived in this strange place. Where the rubberized carbon fiber had been exposed had turned into a black birthmark over her entire body, and it still seemed foreign to her. Walking through the fields she noticed a flower that she’d not seen before and it drew her in. “So lovely.” She said to herself as she approached. She reached down to caress the blooms when she started to feel a strange warmth starting to affect her body. A2 wasn’t used to not being able to self regulate her temperature in the world, but this was different. It moved through her in a way she couldn’t describe. Even causing her breath to quicken. “This… this isn’t right…” She started looking around for anyone that could help explain what was happening.
